Summer Fun & Learning
The summer months bring a change of weather, schedule, pace, and activities.
Children in the Toddler program are assimilated into the Primary program. The
Primary program follows the same basic daily schedule as the one followed during
the academic year. The classes spend more time enjoying outdoor activities and
arts and crafts projects.
A typical day includes discovery and socialization through group times to share
stories and songs, special arts and crafts projects, and daily classroom
activities.
New World Montessori summer program surpasses any in our area: one that
integrates the need for relaxation, recreation, and exploration with our already
existing excellent academic program. In the hopes of making our program
available to as many children as possible, our enrollment schedule is very
flexible. We offer three sessions and each comprises of four weeks each. Sign up
and pay only for the weeks you want your child to attend.
Swimming lessons are offered to all children over 3 years of age in the primary
program and to the children in the elementary program.
Delight in outdoor play takes place in the protected yard area of gardens and
sand play. A wading pool is available when weather permits.
The Elementary program abounds with new activities such as nature exploration,
crafts, gardening, cooking, drama, sports, computers, and science enrichment.
The children in the elementary program are also required to complete a math and
writing activity each day.
